Overview

Langtang Valley Trek is a short and scenic journey towards the central Himalayan range of Nepal located inside Langtang National Park. Langtang region offers numerous numbers of trekking trails whereas Langtang Valley Trekking is one of the popular routes among all. Amazing views of Nepalese and Tibetan Himalayan ranges with beautiful charming villages, hospitable locals, unique Tibetan culture, tradition and wide diverse landscapes of Langtang Valley Trek can easily attract several trekkers throughout the year. The local folks who live in the highlands of the Langtang region are surely Nepalese but most of them trace their roots to Tibet, they even look like the Tibetans. Because of this, Nepal’s Langtang region is one of the most sought after trekking regions for those short on time and want to do a short trek from Kathmandu into the Himalayas with a special interest in Tibetan lifestyles. The fantastic reasons for a visit to this particular region are the varieties of rhododendron, dense bamboo forests, dancing waterfalls and close up views of the snowcapped Himalayas which all combine to make Trekking the lovely Langtang Valley one of the most dissimilar treks that are so close to ancient Kathmandu.

Langtang Valley Trek Route starts with the drive along the Trisuli River north of Kathmandu, through Trasuli Bazaar, we reach to Dhunche and finally reach at Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village, and farmlands of the people. Many villagers are originally from Tibet. Once this route was an important trading route with Tibet, therefore, most of the villagers and peoples here still are involved in the trade. On the way of trekking, one can have a trek through Langtang National Park as it is located at the very edge of the Park. We also have a chance to see some wild animals and birds. Among them are the monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe. We continue our Trekking to Kyangjin Gompa (3,740 m), in between, we cross many rivers along a gorge and pass through oak and rhododendron forests and glacial moraine.
